At the age of 80, Helô Pinheiro didn’t let the Rio de Janeiro heat go to waste, heading to her favorite beach to enjoy the radiant sun. In a moment of relaxation, she shared photos on her Instagram alongside her granddaughter, Bruna Pinheiro.
“Walking along the second-best beach in the world with my ‘Girl from Ipanema‘”, wrote Helô, referring to the famous hit that immortalized her.

The photos received a flood of comments praising the octogenarian’s good shape. “This wonderful woman needs to be studied,” exclaimed one follower. “This woman looks amazing at 80,” praised another.
Helô Pinheiro made history at the age of 17 when she became the inspiration for the famous song composed by the legendary duo Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes. Since then, “Garota de Ipanema” has become a national symbol and has been recorded in various languages, including English and Spanish, by renowned artists such as João Gilberto, Madonna, Frank Sinatra, and Amy Winehouse.
The iconic bar frequented by the composers, where Helô was often seen on her way to the sea, was renamed “Garota de Ipanema” and has become a must-visit tourist spot in the Rio de Janeiro.
To this day, Helô Pinheiro carries the title of eternal Girl from Ipanema. In addition to being the mother of four children, including presenter Ticiane Pinheiro, she shares her life and experiences with over 500,000 followers on her social media.
