A man named Darwin Jesús jumped from the Mirador de Águilas in Villahermosa, Mexico, on Thursday the 18th into a lake full of crocodiles. The incident went viral thanks to a video shared on social media.
According to the video, the young man removes his clothes before making the jump. He attempted to jump twice before diving into the crocodile lake. Witnesses say Darwin jumped around eleven in the morning.
After falling into the lake, Darwin was rescued by Civil Protection members with the help of a rope. He was treated by doctors on-site who only found bruises due to the height of the fall.
The lake in question is not very deep, but Darwin managed to avoid serious injuries. The police have contacted the young man’s family to keep them updated on his condition.
