An Italian woman claimed to be the heir to the Lamborghini after testing her supposed sister’s DNA on a straw, revealed a lawsuit.

Borzone said she hired a private investigator to retrieve a straw used by Elettra to prove they were sisters and that Borzone was the illegitimate heir of the luxury car family, according to a report from The Telegraph.

The DNA sample was tested at the University of Ferrara, where experts said the genetic sample proved that Borzone and Elettra were indeed relatives, according to court documents.

Borzone claims that Tonino and his mother, Rosalba Colossimo, met at a bus stop in 1980 when he passed by and offered her a ride. They then allegedly started a relationship, which ended with Borzone’s birth in 1988.

Tonino Lamborghini denies that Borzone is his daughter and sued her and her mother for defamation after she disclosed her findings, according to The Telegraph.

However, Borzone claims she secretly recorded a conversation with her alleged father, who has five legitimate children, in 2019 when she went to Funo, a city near Bologna, to meet him.

Borzone’s lawyer stated that Lamborghini “admitted to having a relationship with Colossimo” and that Borzone’s real name, Clelia, was a tribute to her mother.

Despite evidence of his possible daughter, Lamborghini’s lawyer is calling her claim “illegal” because Elettra did not consent to provide her DNA. Because of this, he argues that the DNA should not be admitted as evidence, according to The Telegraph.

Borzone’s lawyer simply argued that the DNA proves that “she is not lying” and that the “women are sisters”.

“For us, it was important to show that Flavia Borzone did not want to offend Mr. Lamborghini, she just wants to be recognized [as his daughter]. She lived for years without knowing who her father is,” said Sergio Culiersi, Borzone’s lawyer, according to The Telegraph.

They also claimed that Lamborghini refused to send his own DNA for testing, which is why they used a private investigator to obtain Elettra’s.

“Our client and Elettra Lamborghini are sisters. They are daughters of the same father. This should be enough to reject the defamation accusation because [Borzone and her mother] just told the truth,” said her legal team.

Borzone’s mother also insisted that her daughter does not want Lamborghini’s fortune; she just wants to know who her real father is. “If it were all about money, I would have done all this when Flavia was two years old,” said Colossimo to the court. The trial will proceed again in March.
