The MTV announced on Tuesday (8) the nominees for the “MTV Video Music Awards 2023,” which will take place on September 12. Among the highlights of the ceremony are Taylor Swift, Milley Cyrus, and Anitta.
Swift led the competition with a total of eight nominations, including “Video of the Year” for the hit “Anti-Hero,” directed and written by the artist herself. The production also earned her nominations for “Best Direction,” “Best Editing,” “Best Cinematography,” and “Best Visual Effects.” The artist also appeared in the main categories of “Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year,” as well as “Best Pop.” Just behind Taylor, with six nominations each, were Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Doja Cat, and Kim Petras.
Beyoncé received only one nomination in the “Artist of the Year” category.
