Vin Diesel is facing a lawsuit for sexual assault filed by his former assistant, Asta Jonasson, over harassment that allegedly occurred in Atlanta.
Vin Diesel received a lawsuit for sexual assault from his former assistant, Asta Jonasson, regarding a situation that is claimed to have taken place at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta in September 2010 when he invited her to his suite after returning from a club with some women.
In the complaint filed in Los Angeles, Jonasson’s statement alleges that after the other women had left, Vin Diesel grabbed her by the wrists and pulled her onto the bed. Jonasson claims she asked her former boss to stop, but he groped her and kissed her breasts without consent.
She further alleges that she froze and was in a state of shock, unable to move, as the actor proceeded with the sexual assault, and when she tried to escape and go towards the bathroom, he pinned her against the wall, became even more violent, and crossed boundaries, even after she refused and tried to leave.
At the time, the employee had recently graduated from the film program in Los Angeles and had been hired to work for Vin Diesel’s company, One Race, while he was filming the movie “Fast Five.” However, she claims she was fired a few hours after the alleged assault, and thus, her employment lasted only two weeks.
In addition to the sexual assault, Jonasson is suing the actor for gender-based discrimination, retaliation, a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
