In some of the shots, the 44-year-old actress appears braless to showcase the scars from her mastectomy. She revealed that she was tired of “feeling insecure” about them and decided to show them to encourage other women to embrace them.

“When I look at the scars or how my […] looks different, or how the clothes fit me differently, I feel a lot of gratitude. The way my body looks is just a representation of how hard I’ve fought,” she said in a video posted on social media.

In March of this year, Munn revealed that she was fighting cancer and had to undergo a double mastectomy.

She said she received her diagnosis just two months after having a normal mammogram because her gynecologist decided to calculate her risk assessment score.

“I’m lucky. We caught it in time for me to have options. I want the same for any woman who might have to face this one day,” she said at the time.

The Skims brand stated that as part of this campaign, launched during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 10% of the sales price of each bra sold from October 23 to 31 will be donated to the breast cancer organization Susan G. Komen.
