The Opera Godfather Musical Watch uses two rotating cylinders with a total of 36 teeth rotating against two combs to play a 120-note melody of ‘The Godfather‘ theme song.
It’s not just about the music: The Opera Godfather Musical Watch features a spectacular three-axis gravitational tourbillon to ensure precise timing and represent Jacob & Co.’s cutting-edge watchmaking experience. A combination of steel, brass, platinum, and titanium components in the JCFM04 caliber, as well as its hand-finished decorations, connect the artistic and technical sides of the piece.

The time is displayed on a matte black sub-dial with a linear design executed in highly polished gold. Hours and minutes are indicated by a set of hands with blue finishing. Thanks to ingenious engineering solutions and a patented differential system that operates quietly inside the JCFM04 caliber, the time display sub-dial always remains in the correct 12/6 orientation while the entire Godfather Opera platform rotates during the operation of the music box complication.
Integrated as part of the music box, the black lacquered piano keys in 18K gold come into contact with the cylinder pins, producing the music. Because of this, the piano keys appear to be moving while the music is playing.
