The twins’ participation in the show came shortly after announcing their return to the University of Miami’s basketball program.
Hanna was the first to reveal her return after a season away: “My last basketball season was one of the most successful of my life and helped me grow immensely,” she wrote on X. “Over the past few months, I’ve been eager to return to the game I thought I had lost passion for. That said, I’m coming back for another round.”
The next day, Haley Cavinder announced that she would also be returning to the team. She declared: “Given the news that my sister is returning to play in Miami and after careful consideration and reflection, I’ve decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for our last and 5th year. There is nothing more important than family and the bond I share with my twin sister. Having the opportunity to play together once again is something I can’t pass up. I’m excited for this next season and can’t wait to play at the U.”
