The live semifinals of “Britain’s Got Talent” began on Monday after six weeks of auditions, with eight artists competing for a spot in Sunday’s coveted final. Each night, during the week leading up to the final, another eight contestants will try to impress the audience and the judges. Two acts from each night will be chosen to advance: one by public vote and the other selected by the judges.
The final winner of the competition will receive a prize of £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance.
