At 53 years old, the presenter shared the incident on her Heart FM radio show, describing how her high heels nearly put her in danger.

Amanda explained that the accident happened right after she left the recording studio, where she had just finished narrating: “I was wearing patent leather shoes, and sometimes they stick to the floor. I had tripped in them before, but this time, as I was crossing the street, a car went by, and I fell in the middle of the road.”

During the fall, Amanda’s shoes flew off, and she suffered cuts on both knees. Despite the scare, two young men quickly came to help, but Amanda reassured them that she was fine.

With humor, Amanda recounted how she still had to go to an important meeting with a bleeding and scabbed knee. However, she admitted that the incident could have had serious consequences: “It made me think because I know it could have been potentially terrible if another car had been coming at that moment.”

To relieve the stress after the incident, Amanda decided to skip the detox she was on and went for lunch with her friend and comedian Alan Carr, raising a glass of champagne.

However, this wasn’t the first serious fall Amanda had suffered. In 2019, she broke her leg in two places while participating in an inflatable obstacle course.
