In 2013, Coleman had scheduled breast removal surgery as part of his gender transition process. However, his doctor told him he would need to stop taking testosterone for six weeks before the procedure.

When the surgery was completed, he said he was “bad at taking hormones.” That was when he discovered he was pregnant for more than five months. “I was shocked, surprised, unprepared,” he told the Truly TV channel on YouTube.

Years after giving birth to his firstborn, Azaelia, Coleman became pregnant again, welcoming Journee in 2020. “My pregnancies were similar in that both were surprises,” he said.

The influencer, who has many followers on social media, often reports the situations of transphobia he has experienced during his pregnancies. “I decided to share my story on social media when I was pregnant with Azaelia because I hadn’t seen any representation of pregnant trans men.”

Despite his success, he admitted he had received death threats. “People think I’m bad for my daughters – which is not true,” he added. Despite the negativity, he has also been flooded with support from people.

Kayden wants to teach his daughters to love themselves, be happy, and pass these messages on. “My online community has rallied around me. The message I would give to other trans people is that you deserve a family,” he concluded.
