Jessa Pena, a dealer in antique jewelry known on TikTok as ‘glitterandgoldfinds,’ could hardly believe her eyes when she found the extremely valuable item at a thrift store in Texas, USA.
The bracelet, which Pena believes to be nearly 200 years old and worth an incredible $25,000, is made entirely of 18-karat gold, with intricate craftsmanship, adorned with small topaz, pearls, and rubies framing enamel portraits.
Pena told Newsweek about her find at a thrift store run by the Catholic Church and a charity; “It’s likely from the end of the Georgian era or the beginning of the Victorian era, around 1835, made of 18-karat gold, with the name of the Swiss canton on the back of the shields.”
“These bracelets were made to celebrate the dress and heritage of Swiss regions; it’s rare to find 18-karat or higher stones in large quantities in antique jewelry, as someone would have likely sold them along the way, so I was especially excited about the rarity,” she explained.
