Braian Nahuel Paiz, an Argentine waiter who is under investigation as a suspect for supplying drugs to Liam Payne, broke his silence and said he “did nothing wrong” in an interview with an Argentine TV channel.

The 24-year-old explained that he met the former One Direction member for the first time at the restaurant where he worked. Liam was accompanied by his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and two other people.

Paiz mentioned that he met Liam at a hotel where the singer was staying on October 2. They had agreed to meet up.

“We exchanged contact information and met later that night. Everything was normal. He came down from his room to pick me up because I got lost,” Paiz said.

The waiter explained that his second meeting with the singer happened three days before the incident at the CasaSur Palermo hotel.

“We spent the night together, used drugs because, in fact, something intimate happened. I have all the messages where we arranged this second meeting. I didn’t delete anything,” Paiz said, adding that he never brought drugs to Liam.

After being implicated in the case, Paiz was reportedly fired from his job.

Examinations show that Liam Payne had consumed alcohol and cocaine before falling from the third floor of the hotel in Buenos Aires. The singer’s body was returned to his family, who are expected to hold the funeral in Wolverhampton, UK.
