“You need to hear this story,” Smith captioned the short clip before describing the incident. “I just got kicked off a plane and… where the hell am I – Houston, Texas – because I told them I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to someone with a mask.”
While not revealing the airline involved or the exact details of the incident, Smith expressed his frustration with the situation. “I just told them I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to someone who had to wear a mask, and I’m off the plane.”
This isn’t the first pandemic-related controversy involving the actor. In 2022, Smith couldn’t attend the Screen Actor’s Guild awards due to strict protocols requiring guests to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
