Chrishell Stause, Netflix reality star of Selling Sunset, had to undergo plastic surgery recently after discovering that her silicone implants had ‘ruptured’ after 15 years.
Last Sunday (15), she appeared on her Instagram profile to share that she had to undergo surgery after a ‘full-body scan’ revealed that her silicone implants had ruptured. Stause, 43, said that her ‘first thought was fear,’ as she didn’t know if ‘the rupture would lead to any health complications.’
“I think that’s the scary part. It was actually a surprise to me. I didn’t feel any symptoms. Of course, looking back, there are things like: ‘Oh, could it have been that?’. But I’m not sure,” she said in the video, adding that knowing something was wrong with her body created a ‘mental block.’
“It’s weird. I just didn’t like the feeling that I might be hurting my body long-term,” she explained. Since the surgeon responsible for her initial procedure was no longer practicing, she said she had to find a new one to ‘remove all the silicone.’
“I want to be completely open and transparent about my experience in the hope that it can help anyone else going through this,” she added, emphasizing that she does not want to ‘encourage anyone to change anything about their body.’
