Herman allegedly participated in a video simulating a police stop in an explicit video for an adult content platform. The video was recorded on April 26, and the officer was fired on May 9. The former officer was charged with official misconduct.
The video was recorded in a parking lot. In it, Herman is shown only from the chest down and allegedly “groped” the driver during the simulated stop.
“Chief John Drake fired Herman, 33, on May 9, a day after detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division discovered the video and identified him as the person in an MNPD uniform,” the police said in a statement.
Herman is scheduled to appear in court on September 19 and is currently being held on a $3,000 bond.
