“My husband is an artist, so he understands everything and also doesn’t get involved. He sees the show only at the end when it’s all edited together, and he has fresh eyes,” she explained to E! News Daily Pop.

“He doesn’t read any scripts; he really doesn’t know what’s going on on set, he has his own career that he’s completely absorbed in. He doesn’t know much about what I’m actually doing.”

The 57-year-old actress, who stars in the new film Babygirl alongside actors Harris Dickinson, 28, and Antonio Banderas, 64, recently revealed that she felt the bold scenes were “too much” for her to handle, having to ask for breaks during filming.

“There was a huge amount of sharing and trust, and then frustration. It was like: ‘Don’t touch me.’ There were moments when we were filming, and I thought, ‘I don’t want to [reach the peak] anymore,'” Kidman shared, according to the British tabloid The Sun.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kidman admitted that Babygirl is the most “exposed” project she’s ever worked on and wasn’t sure she would have the “courage” to watch the film again.

“This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It’s not something that will typically be seen by the world. I felt very exposed as an actress, as a woman, as a human being.”

“This [film] definitely leaves me exposed, vulnerable, scared, and all those things when it’s given to the world, but doing it with these people here was delicate and intimate. Now [pre-release], we’re all a little nervous,” the actress said, praising the work of director Halina Reijn.

“[It’s a] story of a woman […] told by a woman through her lens. That is, for me, what made it so unique because suddenly I would be in the hands of a woman with this material. It was very dear to our shared instincts and very liberating,” Kidman added.
