Her journey in chess is notable: she won a female sub-10 championship in Finland at the age of five, became a world female sub-14 champion in 2014, and achieved the title of grandmaster at 17.
In an interview with the German media BILD, Zhou shared that many of the skills making her a successful poker player were acquired in chess, highlighting the importance of strategic thinking in both games. She advises poker beginners to start by learning the hand rankings and playing many hands to get a better feel for the game.
