A man from Brazil, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased a used car with over $3,000 in coins stored in 13 water containers. The images have gone viral on social media.

The man stated that this is the second time he has done such a feat and plans to continue doing it for his next purchase.

The car is a 2015 Honda City, which cost over $11,000 in total. The man used five-cent coins and one-real coins (Brazilian currency).

John Raupp, the owner of the dealership that received the payment, said he had never seen such a situation in 14 years of business. “Since the customer put the money in small paper bags, we didn’t even bother counting the rest; we just left it as it was,” he told the G1 portal.

“I have to say it’s impressive. It’s a lot of coins. When you think about it, it’s really a lot of coins. It’s fun. These kinds of things are fun. It will go down in the company’s history,” he added, surprised.

According to Raupp, the man had been eyeing the car for several months. The purchase was made on Monday (19).
