Jessica Alves, Brazilian model residing in the UK, has criticized the bank Barclays for closing her checking account because she has a profile on an adult content site.
The presenter signed up for the adult content site in 2021, a year after publicly coming out as transgender, and uses the page to share daring images and interact with her most dedicated fans.
However, Jessica received a letter from Barclays bank last week informing her that her bank account had been closed “in accordance with a recent review.”
Without further information about the closure of her account, she said she had an “unpleasant” conversation with a manager in London.
“I have had banking with Barclays for 22 years and was told that I can no longer conduct transactions with them […]. I explained that […] my income comes from property rentals, TV programs, and brand endorsements,” she explained to the site Mail Online.
Although she shares some spicier snaps on the platform, Jessica explained that she does not share anything too explicit. “My [OF profile] is purely a fan page where fans have direct access to me.”
