James Corden revealed that he tried using Ozempic, a medication originally intended for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, to lose weight, but did not achieve the expected results.

The British actor explained during an episode of his show on Sirius XM that although the medication reduces appetite, his binge eating problem is not linked to the need to eat out of hunger but for other reasons.

Corden mentioned episodes where he consumed large amounts of food, such as giant chocolate bars, even without feeling hungry.

“I tried Ozempic, and it won’t be a surprise to you, looking at me now, that it really didn’t work. I tried it for a while and then realized that I was thinking, ‘Oh no, nothing about my eating has to do with being hungry.’ All that [the medication] does is make you not feel hungry. But I rarely eat just because I’m hungry. You’re looking at someone who has already eaten a giant size […] of Dairy Milk […] in a car wash. None of this was like: ‘oh, I’m so hungry.’ It’s not that, it’s something else.”

Additionally, the host and comedian stated that he is considering stopping drinking, feeling that it might be time to make that change for his health. Although he doesn’t believe he has serious issues with alcohol, James no longer sees significant benefits in continuing to drink.

Celebrities like Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, and Oprah Winfrey have also turned to Ozempic, with Oprah even producing a documentary about the medication and weight loss.
