Sandy Brockman, personal trainer of Ivanka Trump, gave an interview to reveal all the secrets behind the 42-year-old model’s perfect physique.
According to her, the model, daughter of Donald Trump, trains with weights four days a week and occasionally adds a yoga day. “Ivanka is wonderful because she is just being herself and learning to do strength training, which is very [cool],” Brockman said to the Daily Mail.
During her training sessions, Trump usually follows the same five exercises, varying the weight depending on her current goals. “The movements are always the same. They are deadlifts, squats, hinges, presses, and pull-ups,” revealed Brockman, who believes that people should aim to lift their body weight in the gym.
“My minimum strength goals that I strive for with my clients include: five strict push-ups, two strict pull-ups, one bodyweight squat, one bodyweight deadlift, and a 20 kg overhead press,” she shared.
While most women prefer to do cardio, Brockman emphasized the importance of strength training. “Women really need strength training, and it’s good for them to do resistance work. It’s good for us to run. But sitting and doing intense strength work will really help women become stronger,” explained the personal trainer.
She also highlighted that while her workouts last about an hour, her famous clients’ choices outside the gym are equally important when it comes to building muscle and maintaining a good physique.
“I don’t want women to starve. I want them to have a constant flow of protein going through their bodies,” she added, stating that she advises her clients to consume “20 grams of protein every two or three hours.”
