The young futsal player Carol Oliveira, only 22 years old, tragically passed away on Sunday after falling from a helipad located on the top of a building in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina.
According to reports in the Brazilian press, Carol was recording videos with her brother shortly before the fatal accident. She reportedly lost her balance while using her phone, resulting in a fall of nearly 91 meters from the top of the 25-story building.
Carol’s body was recovered by police and firefighters after she fell approximately 22 stories. Initial investigations suggest the fall was accidental.
Carol Oliveira played futsal for the Centro de Tijucas team and represented her team earlier this year in the Tijucas Women’s Municipal Futsal Championship. She was known for her passion for the sport and her dedication to her team.
Additionally, Oliveira was a devoted Corinthians fan, often showcasing her admiration for the club on social media, where her profile picture featured the team’s jersey.

Carol’s former futsal coach, Angélica Solidade, paid tribute to the athlete, highlighting her talent and charisma both on and off the court.
The local sports community and futsal fans deeply mourn the loss of a promising young player whose journey was cut tragically short.
