The absence of Prince Louis’ finger caught attention in the Christmas images used to decorate the official festive cards of the royal family.

Published on social media by Buckingham Palace, the monochromatic Christmas photo of the royal family grabbed viewers’ attention due to a curious detail: Prince Louis’ missing finger.

Taken by Yorkshire photographer Josh Shinner, the portrait of Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton with their three children, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte, sparked many comments from people who were confused about the use of Photoshop in the image.

Royal fans point out the absence of Prince Louis’ middle finger on the hand resting on the arm of the chair and question why he is wearing shorts. They also comment on the missing legs of Prince William behind Charlotte’s chair.

A user on X pointed out: “I’m not a fan of this photo, look at Louis and his left hand, what’s going on with that, it looks photoshopped.”
