A couple who traveled for their honeymoon in Mexico were surprised and somewhat frightened to discover they were the only guests at the resort.

A honeymooning couple experienced an incredibly unusual situation; so bizarre, in fact, that they had to share the story on social media so their friends would believe it.

Cameron Jensen and his wife went to Los Cabos earlier this month to stay at a brand-new resort, the Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos. Upon arrival, they noticed there wasn’t much activity, practically none at all.

Soon, the couple realized they were the only guests at the hotel, a situation as surprising as it was unsettling. “At first, it started as a joke… but it feels more like an episode of ‘Black Mirror’,” the husband says in the video, showing the empty space without other people.

Cameron documented their entire stay at the resort on his TikTok account and the videos quickly went viral, with over 8 million views. Internet users were divided, some finding it wonderful and others not so much.

In one of the videos, as a montage of clips shows restaurants, pools, beaches, cabanas, and other completely empty spaces, he talks about how bizarre it was for him and his wife to be the only ones walking around the hotel: “It was kind of spooky, we had the entire resort to ourselves.”

Cameron explains in his posts that he looked for other tourists but didn’t find anyone: “every time I think I see someone not wearing a white uniform, I get excited, only to realize no, just more hired staff working on site. Which, again, was kind of cool until it wasn’t anymore,” Cameron said.

When it was time to leave, another surprise awaited them; in the clip shared by Cameron, we see the entire staff lined up to bid farewell to him and his wife.

And not only that, a band playing and some staff holding a sign that said: “You are not alone”.
