Stanton was involved with inmate Edwin Poole, who was imprisoned in 2018 for armed robbery and was serving a ten-and-a-half-year sentence. The prison guard exchanged steamy photos and love letters with Poole, according to reports to the court.
The prison guard was caught on camera having intimate relations with the inmate in a prison storage room. The couple even had a child over the years. Stanton was suspended in July 2022.
