Macron, who previously suggested that the ceremony could take place at the Stade de France instead of the river Seine, reiterated his support for the singer known for the hit “Djadja”. In a recent interview with BFMTV and RMC, the president stated that Nakamura “will be one of the artists” at the event, emphasizing that the final decision will be up to her.
“She is one of the great French artists, one of the most acclaimed worldwide. But she won’t be the only one, far from it,” Macron declared, condemning the negative reactions to her participation as shocking.
A survey conducted by Elabe for BFMTV revealed that 49% of French people have reservations about Nakamura’s participation, seeing it as a “bad idea”. On the other hand, 21% of respondents support the choice, considering it a “good idea”.
