Bodybuilder Giuliano Pirone, 33, was found dead in the bathroom of a gym after spending 15 hours under a cold shower. The incident took place in Perth, Australia.

Giuliano reportedly felt unwell on the morning of August 20th during a workout at the gym and went to the bathroom. After 15 hours, the police found his body collapsed in a shower cubicle.

He was hospitalized at Joondalup Hospital but never regained consciousness and passed away two weeks later.

WorksSafe WA is investigating the case. According to Giuliano’s family, it is believed that his blood sugar and blood pressure levels dropped to dangerous levels, which may have caused seizures.

Giuliano’s mother, Daniela Pirone, said she saw her son running on a treadmill in the surveillance footage. Moments later, he appeared to feel unwell and stumbled into the equipment.

“He staggered to the showers, holding his stomach. He must have locked himself in, felt hot, turned on the cold water, and then, bam, he collapsed.” The family is demanding answers from the gym, saying it’s unbelievable that his body was not discovered for 15 hours.

Giuliano Pirone leaves behind a son.
