The actor’s children announced in statements to the French network BFMTV and the Fondation Brigitte Bardot that the 10-year-old Belgian Malinois dog will not be euthanized. “He has his home and his family,” confirmed Delon’s relatives, who will take care of the dog.

Delon had expressed in 2018 his wish for Loubo to be euthanized in his arms and buried in the cemetery on his property in Douchy, France. The actor considered the dog a lifelong companion and wanted to prevent it from suffering after his death.

However, the family’s decision is to keep Loubo alive and ensure he spends the rest of his days at Alain Delon’s home.

The actor, known for his charm and distinguished career in French cinema, faced health issues, including a diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma.
