Louise London, an adult content creator from the United Kingdom, miraculously survived after undergoing a cosmetic procedure known as BBL, which aims to enhance her physical attributes.

The 30-year-old model said she experienced “unbearable pain” after the controversial procedure. She mentioned that she had to get a tattoo to cover her scars and feels “lucky” to be alive. Now, she has decided to raise awareness among other women about the procedure, especially after a woman in the UK died following a BBL.

“I was very sad that five children lost their mother, her partner lost his girlfriend, and her family lost a loved one. It also brought back distressing memories of my own experience,” she told the Daily Star, speaking about the tragic death of Alice Webb.

BBL is a procedure in which hyaluronic acid and fillers are injected into the lower part of the body to make the hips larger. The UK’s public health service, the NHS, had to issue a warning for people to be very careful with the procedure, which costs around £2,500 (about $3,300).

“I’m so upset and angry about how it was sold to me. The amount of filler that was injected, according to my plastic surgeon, was excessive. I’m so angry they thought it was safe to inject that much. I wear a UK size 6, and 400ml was excessive,” Louise explained.

The model said she paid over £4,000 for the 90-minute procedure. During the process, she felt unwell and nearly fainted, and immediately afterward, she noticed that some parts of her body were “hard as a rock” and had a “weird shape.”

She experienced many strange health symptoms in the following days and eventually had to go to the Urgent Care Center before being transferred to Lister Hospital in Stevenage, England.

Louise was then informed that her heart rate was extremely high and that she was showing signs of sepsis due to an infection.

She said a plastic surgeon was “shocked” and told her that only 200ml of filler should have been injected, instead of 400ml. In February, she had to undergo emergency surgery to drain the infection, and she mentioned that the swelling was severe on both sides.

“They said this would cause a larger scar than a normal incision. They also said they removed as much of the infection as they could, some filler, and a bit of my own body tissue […], which resulted in a hollow area,” she lamented.

She stayed in the hospital for a week and luckily recovered, but she will have to live with the damage to her body for the rest of her life. “I will have scars and permanent damage. I was told the filler would settle in two weeks, but I will have a lot of bruising, swelling, hardness, and poorly placed filler.”

In conclusion, she took the opportunity to issue a warning. “If you’re thinking about getting any [cosmetic] procedure, research the treatments themselves and the various clinics that offer them. Always go to a reputable healthcare professional with medical training, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to get a liquid BBL – the risks far outweigh the benefits,” she concluded.
