Yasmeena Ali, an Afghan adult content creator, claimed that Taliban members are sexist and know all about her daring work.

Yasmeena was just a little girl when the Taliban took over Kabul in the 1990s. During that time, she witnessed brutal violence against men and women before finally moving to the UK, where she immediately learned to read and write.

Almost 30 years later, the Taliban are back in power in her home country. But Yasmeena is now known as Afghanistan’s number one adult star. The feminist activist even believes she might be the “only” one.

She took control of her life and abandoned her Muslim religious roots to become an atheist. And now she believes the Taliban will know everything about her bold exploits. “They hate my content mainly because they don’t want Afghanistan to be known for [adult entertainment],” she told Tommy McDonald‘s podcast.

“How dare I show my body? They think they own my body and what I do with it, and I don’t have the right to show it, and I can’t be a true Afghan if I do. I always get messages like: ‘You’re pretending, you’re Jewish, you’re in disguise.'”

“I’m Afghan, so what? Maybe there are Taliban out there watching my content, who knows? I’m sure they’ve heard of me already. I wouldn’t be surprised,” she continued during the chat.

Growing up, Yasmeena was forbidden to have an education until she moved to the UK at nine, saying she believes the Taliban are afraid to educate women. “The whole idea is based on controlling and subjugating women, and that can only happen if they are uneducated, so they follow without questioning,” she said on the podcast.

“The moment you give them education or resources, they threaten the status quo, and they don’t want that; they like power. These men love power. It’s a caveman mentality. It’s about power and control over someone else.”
