
A homeless dog surprised mountaineers and internet users by reaching the summit of Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Russia and all of Europe, standing at 5,642 meters above sea level.
An unexpected journey
According to reports, the animal decided to join a group of climbers during the night. He left a shelter alongside the team at 9:00 p.m. and, after nearly 12 hours of walking, reached the western summit of Elbrus at 8:30 a.m. local time.
Impressive endurance
The team’s instructor, Stanislav, reported that the dog showed no signs of fatigue, even in extreme cold and high-altitude conditions:
“Difficulties, he did not feel. He ran at 5,600 meters as if he were on the plains,” highlighted the guide on social media.

The moment was captured on video and quickly went viral, captivating users with the endurance and determination of the unlikely “mountaineer.”
