An unidentified man climbed a radio tower over 76 meters high and needed to be rescued by the Dakota County Special Operations Team in Minnesota, USA. The images went viral on social media.

The video shows the frightening moments the rescuers had to face to save the man who was in crisis. “I’ve never experienced anything so physically or mentally exhausting,” said Sergeant Alex Eckstein, who was involved in the rescue.

The incident occurred on October 10, taking over half an hour for Eckstein to reach the top. “It’s unbelievable that this person managed to hold on for so long. Nobody likes being that high up,” the rescuer said.

At the top of the structure, it was windy, making the climb more difficult. Another rescuer involved in the rescue, Sam Seal, managed to put on a harness before descending with the man in crisis.

“I trained for this, but I never thought I would have to climb 76 meters to bring someone down,” Seal said according to the New York Post. The man was taken to the hospital.
