Sahar Tabar shocked the internet after revealing how she achieved her extreme facial transformations, which led her to be known as the “Angelina Jolie zombie.”
In 2017, she claimed to have undergone 50 surgeries to achieve the desired look, but later admitted it was a lie and that she used makeup tricks and photo editing.
“What you saw on Instagram were computer effects I used to create the image,” she told an Iranian newspaper.
Sahar Tabar, whose real name is Fatemeh Khishvand, said she just wanted to be famous and found her way in the digital world.
“Cyberspace was an easy path. It was much easier than becoming an actress,” said Sahar Tabar.
The former content creator was arrested in 2019 for corruption and blasphemy. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but following a public appeal, she was released after 14 months, according to activist Masih Alinejad.
After her release, Sahar Tabar said she wants to stay out of the spotlight now.
